Our second youth exchange Erasmus+ project "Youth against Modern Day Addictions".
The Youth Exchange “Youth against Modern Day Addictions” managed to unite 43 young people from 6 different countries all over Europe (Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia & Greece) and it took place in Athens, Greece from 14 to 23 February 2020!

#YMDA During this project we explored the cause of modern day addictions, we deepen our knowledge on the definition of an addiction and intented to find the line between habit and addiction with a specific emphasis on sharing experiences and personal beliefs on the topic. What's more we exchanged basic elements of our cultures, food, art, music, local customs during the intercultural nights and social activities of the project.

Through this exploration we:
​
1) Better understood what is addiction, which faces can it take and how it can influence our daily life and functioning.
2) Provided young participants with the necessary foundation and tools to become more aware, sensitive and competent, so that they are optimally prepared for youth-led initiatives against addictions.
3) Used non-formal learning methods as a tool to enhance communication skills and interaction abilities in young people (conscious listening, empathetic communication, effective self-expression and public speaking) to counteract the adverse effects of new technologies in the quality of interpersonal relationships.
4) Cultivated a mentality of social responsibility, participatory approach and active citizenship in the young generation!!!
