Our third youth exchange Erasmus+ project "p-ART-icipate!".
The Youth Exchange "p-ART-icipate!", which was designed by the informal group Seize the Day and approved by the Greek National Agency took place in Athens, Greece from the 1st to 10th of September, 2021.
51 participants from Greece, Italy, France, Romania, and Turkey spent 10 days together analyzing and discussing the importance of active participation and empowerment of youth in civil society, especially those belonging to vulnerable social groups and expressing themselves through various means of art.
During the youth exchange, by using non-formal education methods and tools, participants had the chance to explore the topics of Social Challenges, Democratic Values, Active Citizenship, Youth Empowerment, Environmental issues.
Some activities required interaction with local people, which helped to spread the message of the project outside the circle of the project participants!
This exchange gave us the opportunity to:
- intervene in the status quo creatively and innovatively and, with a focus on art, to raise awareness of our obligations and rights
- develop comprehensively, to acquire sensitivity, ability to learn, critical thinking and creativity
- understand the power of our actions, leaving a cultural imprint through interactive and artistic stimuli, which will contribute to the cultivation of social responsibility and personal fulfillment
